Coach Greg Lambert brings decades of playing, coaching, and athlete development experience to Challenge U. Softball.

A former NCAA Division I football student-athlete at Wagner College, Greg has spent more than 19 years competing in slow-pitch softball at the highest levels across the country, giving him a unique perspective on offensive mechanics and game strategy.

Since 2008, Greg has served as the Founder and Director of the Central Spirit Softball Organization, growing the program from a single team into a respected multi-team organization focused on athlete development. He has also coached at Onondaga Community College and has dedicated nearly two decades to mentoring softball players of all ages.

As a college recruiting field scout since 2020, Greg has built strong relationships with collegiate programs and has helped more than 140 athletes continue their softball careers at the collegiate level. He has also become well known for developing left-handed offensive specialists, successfully converting 30+ athletes into effective slap hitters.

As a CUDIT® Certified Hitting Coach, Greg is committed to teaching a proven hitting system while helping athletes build confidence, consistency, and a deeper understanding of the game.
