LIVING HER DREAM WITH PASSION AND PERSEVERANCE
Coach Lisa is the epitome of a person with a passion that has never let anyone or anything get in the way of her goals. In fact, she has been planting the seeds for where she is at today since she was 18 years old. It was at that age that she decided that she would follow her passion and make it her profession. These passions have influenced thousands in the game of softball, the game of life, and the game of breaking down barriers.
That is exactly what Coach Lisa is known for: BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS. In fact, it started when she was 13 years old as the only female baseball pitcher in the county. She turned heads, broke records, and won championships until she made the switch to softball in high school. Growing up with a single mother and two siblings, she did not know if she would be able to attend college. Yet, it was during her junior year that all changed. She picked up a weekend club tournament as a guest player. After the tournament, she had 6 NCAA schools approach her.
As much as a Division 1 program would have been amazing, her commitment to working while in college and helping her family guided her choice to play softball at Ramapo College. She became a star catcher & cleanup hitter all four years at RC. In her senior year, she made her final mark being the first player to hit a home run in the 2006 World Series tournament.
Upon graduation, Lisa coached at Farleigh Dickinson University, Drew University, and gave private one on one hitting and catching lessons throughout the tri-state. Her true passion was having the power to create mentally confident and physically elite athletes. As her name spread in private lessons, she decided to take a risk, quit her other jobs, and started an outdoor softball training company, called Mobile Softball Training. MST was a great success from 2007-2010 until the dirt became turf & she opened her second company, Challenge U. Softball®. Today, Challenge U. Softball® trains an average of 8-10K softball athletes per year in private lessons, indoor clinics, and outdoor camps currently throughout 16 cities & various states.
In 2016, Coach Lisa had taken her passion to the next level. She created The C.U.D.I.T.® Concentric Hitting Coach Certification and Business Development Program. C.U.D.I.T.® is the first program based on eccentric and concentric muscle movement in hitting while training the mental game with the C.U.D.I.T.® VBS System (Visualization, Body Language, and Self-Talk). The program is designed to teach any individual that would like to give hitting instruction on how to hold the most elite hitting lessons, how to instill mental toughness while physically training, and how to build a large client base turning a passion into a profession.
With Challenge U. Drill Interval Training, all lessons are held in a distinct format of taking one drill and creating various level progressions of the drill for the most quick and clean path to muscle memory mechanic training.
Today, Coach Lisa continually trains all Certified C.U.D.I.T.® Concentric Hitting Coaches, in the C.U.D.I.T.® Forum, and commits to continually master her craft and raise the bar. Since a soft launch of C.U.D.I.T.®, there are now C.U.D.I.T.® Concentric Hitting Coaches in over 10 states. She has proven that it is possible to make your passion, your purpose, your profession.
This does not slow her down from motivational speaking at programs nationwide. Sharing her story recently on the well-known Challenge U. Softball® YouTube channel, Coach Lisa is still BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS:
“I feel it is my purpose to teach athletes and individuals of any age that they can be anything they want to be. Throughout my life, I was doubted by tons of people. I should have been a statistic. But, I used that doubt as my fire. My fire to continually raise my own standards. In doing so, I realized I inspired others. Now, instead of only inspiring others, I decided to show them HOW to create their own journey. This is my purpose. This is my passion. Gratefully, this is my profession.”
