I have been coaching in Little League, from T-ball to 16U for many years and believe in swing advancement as the years have gone by. When I played baseball in high school, I changed my swing on my own by reading Ted William's book and Charlie Lau's book on hitting. This was my original fascination with the swing.

The mental part of the game, which I tell every players, is so critical. I believe in constantly reminding my players that they need to have discussions with themselves for success. One thing that I have discussed with other coaches over the years is how to teach that aggressiveness and mental toughness. This is vital.
