Coach Shirley is one of the most passionate graduates of the C.U.D.I.T.® Concentric Hitting Course.  Coach has been involved with softball for over 20 years at various levels.  Although he currently coaches at the collegiate level, he has had the pleasure of starting his career in the youth softball ranks. He spent many years working with players who were developing and playing purely for the love of the game. It has always been his goal to be able to help provide quality instruction and a strong mentoring presence to players who have a passion for this game.

 

Outside of softball, Coach Shirley was a professional firefighter and paramedic. He suffered a lung injury on the job that required him to retire but still left him able to pursue other passions. Coach decided that he wanted to do something that he felt made a difference in the lives of young athletes so he focused on coaching full time.

 

He has worked hard to become a student of the game and chose to further his coaching education through the C.U.D.I.T.® Concentric Hitting Coach program.  He is a coach who is dedicated to continually further his knowledge and give that knowledge to those around him to help them reach the next level, physically and mentally.
